Your Life's Bucket List

Your bucket list should be current.
There's little point in creating a bucket list that includes scaling Everest or diving on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia (unless you happen to live in Australia). It's quite unlikely that you will ever get around to any of these magnificent feats.
Sure, Richard Branson has made it into space, but do you think it's likely you will?
Start thinking about what would make a difference to your life in the here and now.
  • What scares you?
  • What do you see other people do that seems to be far outside of your comfort zone?
  • Where have you not visited in your own town, city or country.
  • Do you eat healthily and exercise?
Life can get boring and we become quite preoccupied with ourselves and our day-to-day routines to the point of ignoring, or at least forgetting about, fully involving ourselves in life.
We become like Bilbo Baggins: rather more fond of eating and sleeping than getting outside and searching for adventure.
Yet, we read books and watch movies to indulge our adventurous side.
Here's what you can do instead:
Stop letting your time -- your day, your week, or your whole life--happen by accident Plan your week or month ahead and include some new activities that excite you.
If you can't find something that excites you right now, just make sure to include exercise. Just the act of exercise alone can have such a positive effect on the body and mind, that you will soon find that ideas com flowing into your brain.
This month, do something that scares you or visit somewhere you've never been. You don't have to go skydiving. It could be as simple as asking someone out on a date. Why not combine the two by arranging your date somewhere you've never been, but always wanted to go?
This week, do something outside your comfort zone.
Do something for your health and wellness today!
None of us know how much time we have and the simple truth is that once you get motivated and start ticking things off your bucket list, you're going to need all the energy you can muster.
Motivation comes after action, not the other way around. So start taking action on your bucket list on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
And it's perfectly okay to have a second bucket list with plans to travel to outer space.
