Does Everything In Your Life Glorify God?

If you are a Christian, part of your witness is whether you glorify God in your life. If you say you love God, people are going to be watching you to see if what you believe has transformed your words and actions, What you possess, what entertains you on TV and otherwise, etc., all tell people about you and what you really believe.(Romans 12:1) This verse talks about your life being a living sacrifice to God.
What books do you have in your possession? Harry Potter, maybe? That was a popular film and book series. They are also about witchcraft, and if you read the Bible and care about what it says, you will know that God hates witchcraft. So, if you have books about witchcraft and other such types of books that are contrary to the Bible, you are not going to be blessed as much as if you were rid of them. It is a bad witness also, when people come over and see what you are reading, or have read.
The Bible says to glorify God with everything in your life: attitudes, words, what we possess, actions, etc. If you are a true follower of Jesus, then you will think and pray about what you read in this article, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you want to rid yourself of anything that is not glorifying God.
Do you read the astrology part of the paper, online, or any other way? 'The Bible says that God is a jealous God because He wants to be your source for wisdom, the future, and everything else in your life, not some random words in a newspaper or otherwise.
There are many things we need to look at in our homes and lives, and pray about whether they are a good influence. The programs you watch..What attitudes and worldly things are being taught by humor and other means to make you slowly disbelieve what God wants for your life, like sarcasm, disrespect, innuendos, and other sometimes subtle means the enemy uses to gradually change us for the worst. When we pick up these anti-Bible and God attitudes, etc., we may later wonder why our relationships and other things in our lives are not the way they should be. It is because we have slowly taken those things we watch and hear into our lives, while God is trying to change you, with your consent, to be more holy and set apart to be unlike the world. You are setting up a battleground in your life that will make it worse if you continue going in that direction, away from what God is trying to teach you.
So, now you have a choice. You can disregard what has been said here, or you can prayerfully and humbly ask God to help you rid yourself of the things that do not glorify and honor Him in your life and your home. Just going to church is not going to make a difference that is real. You must make God your first priority, then you will be blessed.(Matthew 6:33) My prayer is that you will consider what has been said here, and elsewhere on this subject, then work on what is needed with God's help.
Think and pray about what you have read here. You must also evaluate if you truly are following God if you don't want to rid yourself of what does not honor Him. We are all still "under construction", and none of us are perfect in this world. But it is much better to be proactive and work on what needs to be changed than having to wait for God to tell us in His own way.
