TRADEMARK – Relationship with Jesus

We will have a relationship with Jesus when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. We cannot be saved by works but rather by faith alone. (Eph. 2:8-10). By believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross to clean us by His blood, that He was buried and that was raised on the third day, then we can have a relationship with God with the assurance of receiving eternal life. We them become Christians and ambassadors of Christ doing good works by the result of His overflowing love for us.

What is the trademark of a Christian?

I John 2:6: “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
A true follower of Jesus is someone whose life is with evidence of relationship with Jesus.

A son or a daughter follows his or her parents. A friend follows his friend’s advice. Students follow their teacher’s instructions. Someone will never follow a stranger nor a person he did not trust to. We follow someone when we have a relationship with that person. And as Christians have a relationship with Jesus, we are to follow Him.

A true follower is identified with his relationship with the one he follows just as a true disciple is marked with his relationship with Jesus. When we follow Jesus, we are to do good works only for Him alone and none for ourselves. We do things for His glory and honor. We obey Him and work things according to His will.

As the light of this world, we need to show people and share to them this relationship we have with Jesus. We should walk in love just as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us (Eph. 5:1-2). Show love and compassion to other people and win the lost whatever it may cost.

A trademark we have as Christians is our relationship with God.
