That's how the provincial government describes what life in Capiz is all about on its website. For travelers looking for a place to relax and unwind, this province in the Western Visayas region is a must-go destination.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Covering an area of 2,594.64 square kilometers, Capiz is subdivided into 16 municipalities and a city - Roxas. The province continues to be one of the major travel destinations in southern Philippines, thanks to its natural charm highlighted by a labyrinth of rolling hills, pristine beaches, unspoiled beaches, and isolated coves.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Capiz is also a magnet for seafood lovers. Dubbed as the "Seafood Capital of the Philippines," the province provides guests with a wide selection of dishes made from its rich marine resources. Delectable delicacies are available everywhere from a simple restaurant to posh hotels and resorts.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">With all these amazing attractions in the province, it is no wonder, then, that Capiz is among the recommended tourist stops in most Philippine travel guides. The following is a sampling of the scenic spots to visit in the province.</span></div><h4 style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><b style="background-color: white;">Agtalin Shrine</b></h4><div><img height="400" src="http://mw2.google.com/mw-panoramio/photos/medium/40951569.jpg" width="290" /></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Get amazed by a gigantic statue of the Virgin Mary at the Agtalin Shrine. Located in the municipality of Pilar, the religious icon is considered the tallest in the country at 80 feet tall. The International Marian Research Institute listed the Agtalin Shrine as a premier pilgrimage site. It is believed that some faithful with incurable diseases were healed by praying at the shrine.</span></div><h4 style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><b>Baybay</b><b> Beach</b></span></h4><div><img height="266" src="http://www.retireinthephilippines.info/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Capiz-Baybay-Beach21.jpg" width="400" /></div><div><span style="background-color: white;"><b><br /></b></span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Baybay Beach is Capiz's version of elegant Boracay beaches. This gray-sand beach is a favorite weekend getaway of local residents and tourists alike in the province. Aside for being a popular swimming site, Baybay Beach is also a haven for food lovers. Various stalls selling unbelievably cheap grilled fish, squids, prawns, and other marine produce can be found near the beach.</span></div><h4 style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><b>Pilar</b><b> Cave</b></span></h4><div><img height="300" src="http://vigattintourism.com/assets/article_main_photos/optimize/1344845584QPCNMifd.jpg" width="400" /></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Another must-see attraction in Capiz is Pilar Cave. This natural wonder is believed to be a burial site of local folks before the Spaniards conquered the Philippines in 1521. Ancient pots and other artifacts have been discovered in the cave. Capiz has four more popular caves such as the Suhoton Caves in Jamindan, Quipot Cave in Mambusao, Igang Cave in Maayon, and Suhot Cave in Dumalag.</span></div><h4 style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><b style="background-color: white;">Tucad Reef</b></h4><div><img height="265" src="http://i.imgur.com/jzZgsX6.jpg" width="400" /></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Tucad Reef is a submarine islet of seashells and corals topped with layers of sand. Located some ten kilometers away from Pilar, this natural marvel can be reached through a pump boat ride or by walking during low tide. From its shallow and clear water, visitors can see a patchwork of shells and corals in various colors such as blue, green, red, and pink.</span></div><h4 style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><b style="background-color: white;">Aswang Festival</b></h4><div><img height="265" src="https://chitchatandbeyond.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/image6.jpg" width="400" /></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Capiz is known for the myth of <i>aswang</i>, a Filipino term for ghouls, monsters, and witches. Held days before the Halloween, the controversial but culturally important event seeks to change the public's negative notion towards the province as an <i>aswang</i> haven. Trade exhibits, cultural shows, and symposiums are staged during the festival.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">A great way to conclude your Capiz vacation is to shop for various products such as lampshades, candle holders, necklaces, and wind chimes, made from Capiz shells. The province, which is located north of Manila, is the birthplace of some of the country's great men and women such as Marcelo H. del Pilar, Gregorio del Pilar, Francisco Baltazar, Nicanor Abelardo, and Guillermo Tolentino, among others. Bulacan is also the cradle of Asia's first constitutional democracy.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Aside from its full-bodied past, Bulacan is also considered one of the favorite travel destinations among local and foreign tourists due to its immediate proximity to Metro Manila. The province, which is less than an hour drive from the metro, has its fair share of astonishing attractions that are magnets to discerning travelers.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Most travel guides about the Philippines list Bulacan as one of the best backpacking destinations in the country. Tourists can use the public transport system to roam around the province. There is also a host of resorts and hotels that are perfect for overnight stay. So pack your bags and get those traveling feet ready for an ultimate Bulacan experience. The following are some of the must-see attractions in the province.</span></div><h4 style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><b>Barasoain</b><b> Church</b></span></h4><div><img height="195" src="http://www.headlinegl.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/chruch.jpg" width="400" /></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Start your Bulacan trip by making a stop in Barasoain Church in Malolos. Dubbed as the "Cradle of Democracy in the East," this 17th century structure was the site of the First Philippine Congress on September 29, 1898. It was destroyed at the height of the Philippine Revolution but was renovated several times to preserve its original structure. Never miss a visit to a light and sound museum while in Barasoain Church.</span></div><h4 style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><b>Verdivia</b><b> Falls</b></span></h4><div><img height="266" src="http://mw2.google.com/mw-panoramio/photos/medium/49098812.jpg" width="400" /></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">One of the natural wonders in Bulacan is the Verdivia Falls in the municipality of Dona Remedios Trinidad. For most people, a trip to Europe might be the highlight of their life's travels, but for others who yearn for something a little more exotic, Philippines travel just might be the ticket.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">The Philippines is perhaps one of the easiest and most accommodating places to visit for many reasons. Most Filipinos speak English, and because of that, it is easy to get around, communicate, and get what you ask for. For being in such a beautiful, exotic country, it is a real treat to be able to get all the comforts of home while still feeling so very far away from what you are used to.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Philippines travel is also easy - both getting to the islands and travel from within. There are over 7,000 islands in the Philippines, divided among three main "groups" - Mindanao, Luzon, and Visayas. The more popular destinations such as Manila, Boracay Beach, and Cebu City are easily accessible and will only whet your appetite for more travel throughout the islands.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJO8JVxqob4B22sOt_C3eGTWBtaHvX7IBEiTkIsf8THW1-l1tOW_fl8KPkOOZkb8uPU3R2n4hIcyUdv2z3c0N64i7sIj27-NZ8He1mtca_DrNwLKrE0lR1YAtmYNNEqQ8QyBuG5Y8SJuA/s1600/5884061_f520.jpg" /></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">While you are partaking in Philippines travel, don't be frightened to try some or all of the wonderful Filipino cuisine - no trip would be complete without sampling halo-halo, lechon, or lumpa (Filipino spring rolls). The cuisine, an intriguing mix of Hispanic, Asian, and American influences is very different from Asian American cuisine that you eat back home, but you will certainly enjoy it.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">The tropical climate of the Philippines means that when it isn't hot and humid, it will still be warm. The summer runs from March until May, while the Filipino winter (or coldest season) coincides with that in North America, December through February.</span></div></div><div id="article-resource" style="color: #333333; font-family: 'Avenir Next', Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Andrew H. is a perpetual traveler and travel blogger who's written extensively about his experiences and <a href="http://thattravelingcouple.com/philippines/philippines-travel" rel="nofollow" style="color: #610000;" target="_blank">Philippines Travel</a> including the mountains, beaches and cities. <div id="article-content" style="color: #333333; font-family: 'Avenir Next', Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">For those of us who already feel the need to travel in our blood, no reason is needed for us to get out there and explore the world. We do it instinctively and sometimes even see it as a necessary part of life, like food, or the air we breathe. But some people may be more reticent to leave behind the comforts of home. For all you home bodies whose homes are your castles, here are five reasons for you to leave your front door and see where the road will take you:</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><h4><span style="background-color: white;">For the Sheer Joy of It</span></h4></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Forget the panic of air travel, the stress of a missed train or the dangers of strange city streets, all of these things and more are outweighed by the sheer joy of exploration in an unfamiliar environment. Whether you prefer lounging on a beach in brilliant sunshine, tramping the streets of a historic city, hiking in pristine wilderness, soaking in the artistic atmosphere of a famous gallery, sampling fine cuisine and shopping 'til you drop or getting the adrenaline flowing, you will never forget the happiness you gain making memories that will last a lifetime.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><h4><span style="background-color: white;">Mental Well-Being</span></h4></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">Travel is good for the mind. Whether through relaxation or expansion or both, travel will release the mind from the shackles of the modern world. You will be surprised by now a holiday can give you a different perspective on life by shaking you up and taking you out of your familiar comfort zone. No matter what happens while you are away, the sheer act of moving in space as well as time can be good for the mind as well as the soul. Even if you feel the need of a holiday to recover from your holiday, you are sure to have triggered something of use to you in the way you cope with your everyday life.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><h4><span style="background-color: white;">Human Connection</span></h4></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">People are important. We live in tribes, and these tribes form larger societies. Sometimes it can be hard to step outwith our own tribe to understand how and why other people act and think the way they do. By travelling, you are, by necessity, no matter how introverted you are, exposing yourself to human connection. What is more, the connections you forge on holiday may just make you think about humanity and the inherent goodness of human nature in an entirely new and different way.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><h4><span style="background-color: white;">Natural Connection</span></h4></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">This world is the only one we have. It is precious. Sometimes, in the hustle and bustle of modern life, we can lose touch with the natural world. We can forget that everything is connected and that we, as human beings, are a small part of a much larger system. Travelling on holidays can give us a sense of perspective and by walking on the sands of a beautiful beach, hiking to the summit of a majestic mountain or sitting in the shade of an ancient tree can reconnect with our natural selves. Travelling gives us a strong sense of the scale and awe-inspiring attractions of this planet of ours.</span></div><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><span style="background-color: white;">So, no more excuses. Holidays need not cost the earth, so get out there and let the adventures begin.</span></div></div><div id="article-resource" style="color: #333333; font-family: 'Avenir Next', Arial, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, sans-serif;"><div style="line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding: 0px;"><a href="https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=5816444098118503677" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span><span style="background-color: white;">Reasons You Should Travel As Much As Possible, <a href="http://www.traveleze.co.uk/" rel="nofollow" style="color: #610000;" target="_blank">http://www.traveleze.co.uk/</a> can help you out we're a specialist holiday company providing customers with affordable dream holidays.
